Lisa & Mario - Farmington Gardens Wedding at Farmington Gardens

I was fortunate to photograph Lisa & Mario's wedding at Farmington Gardens, but by a weird twist of fate. Unfortunately their original photographer Craig Freeman was admitted to the hospital a couple of weeks before the wedding! I was so glad that I happened to be free that day and could step in and cover for him. This is why belonging to professional organizations such as CT Professional Photographers Assoc. is important for a professional wedding photographer. As much as we are all competitors, we are also peers and are always there for each other. Craig has since recovered, and as hey say...all's well that end's well! Now onto the wedding photographs!

As you can see, Farmington Gardens is really a great place for a wedding. Not only for a wedding reception, but the wedding ceremony as well.

Aldrich Mansion Wedding at Aldrich Mansion - Kate and James

Kate and James Royal Wedding - An Aldrich Mansion wedding affair.

The Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI has to be one of my favorite locations to photograph a wedding. The old world feel, historic charm, and oceanfront location make it truly one of the elite wedding locations in RI. Whenever I photograph a wedding there, I feel transported back in time to the Gilded Age. I can't help but imagine the gala affairs that have taken place there over the century. The movie "Meet Joe Black" was also filmed there, which adds to the old Hollywood Glamour that the building already speaks of. "Kate and James" sounds regal..doesn't it? :)
For those who have not heard of the Aldrich Mansion, the mansion is situated on 75 acres on the cost of Narragansett Bay. As you will see by the photographs, ornate paintings and woodcarvings adorn the halls. Italian marble, was used for fireplaces, floors and bathrooms. The gilded vaulted ceilings in the entry/lobby make an immediate impression. There are 2 dining halls, as well as a music and fine arts chamber and library on the main floor.

A magnificent marble staircase leads to the second floor. Six elegant suites, each with its own marble-fireplaced bath and bedroom, occupy this floor.
