Kate and James Royal Wedding - An Aldrich Mansion wedding affair.
The Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI has to be one of my favorite locations to photograph a wedding. The old world feel, historic charm, and oceanfront location make it truly one of the elite wedding locations in RI. Whenever I photograph a wedding there, I feel transported back in time to the Gilded Age. I can't help but imagine the gala affairs that have taken place there over the century. The movie
"Meet Joe Black" was also filmed there, which adds to the old Hollywood Glamour that the building already speaks of. "Kate and James" sounds regal..doesn't it? :)
For those who have not heard of the Aldrich Mansion, the mansion is situated on 75 acres on the cost of Narragansett Bay. As you will see by the photographs, ornate paintings and woodcarvings adorn the halls. Italian marble, was used for fireplaces, floors and bathrooms. The gilded vaulted ceilings in the entry/lobby make an immediate impression. There are 2 dining halls, as well as a music and fine arts chamber and library on the main floor.
